Educating the Next Generation on the Realities of Influence

On Thursday, the 20th of November, 2025, the Fortitude Impactful Women Empowerment Initiative (FIWEI) convened at Girls Secondary School in ishiagu_visit, Ivo LGA, Ebonyi State, for a session of immense depth. Beyond general motivation, our team tackled a sophisticated and critical subject: 'The Danger and Price for Leadership.' This seminar was designed to move beyond the surface level of empowerment and address the weighty responsibilities that come with holding positions of influence.

Understanding the Price of Leadership

Leadership is often romanticized in society, but FIWEI aims to ground our youths in reality. During this teaching, we explored the 'Price' of leadership—the inevitable sacrifices required to lead effectively. We taught the young girls that true leadership often demands a loss of comfort, a high degree of discipline, and the courage to make unpopular but necessary decisions. We emphasized that the price includes sleepless nights, continuous learning, and placing the needs of others above oneself.

Navigating the Dangers of Power

Concurrently, we addressed the 'Danger' inherent in leadership. We educated the students on the pitfalls of pride, the abuse of power, and the risk of losing one's moral compass when in charge. By highlighting these dangers early, we are inoculating these young minds against corruption and ethical compromises. The session served as a cautionary guide, ensuring that when they rise to power—whether in their careers, communities, or homes—they do so with integrity and awareness.

Preparing Girls for High-Stakes Roles

Why teach such a heavy topic to secondary school girls? Because FIWEI believes in their potential to occupy high offices. By exposing them to these hard truths now, we are building resilience. We are cultivating a generation of women who are not afraid of the burden of command but are prepared to carry it with grace and fortitude. This aligns perfectly with our mandate to 'Build the Women, Build the Nation.'

A Commitment to Holistic Development

This program at ishiagu_visit stands as a pillar of our commitment to public and leadership empowerment development. FIWEI continues to redefine what it means to empower the girl child, moving from simple encouragement to substantial, life-altering education. We remain your partners in progress. AWEG... Progress. Women... Strength and Pioneers of the Nation.
